South African courts have revoked Shell’s licence for seismic blasting off the country’s beautiful Wild Coast! Alongside almost 300,000 other people, you signed our petition calling on Shell to cancel its plans, standing in solidarity with local communities resisting the oil giant. This is a massive victory for local communities fighting to protect their livelihoods and the environment from toxic fossil fuel companies. It’s a huge win for local wildlife too – the whales, dolphins and turtles that would have been subject to Shell’s horrific seismic blasts every 10 seconds.
